Gary Clark Jr. dla mnie, to taka reinkarnacja Hendrixa, w pozytywnym tego słowa znaczeniu. Bez żadnego "kserowania". Mocno osadzony w tradycji bluesowej ale z bardzo "otwartą" głową.
Świetna "czarna" artykulacja na gitarze, zupełna odwrotność tych, od lat cieszących się popularnością blues-rockowych szybko-graczy.
