Posłuchałem sobie płyty (courtesy of Karambol). Zgadzam się z Robertem, że perkusista gra trochę niemrawo. Ale moje główne zarzuty dotyczą linii: rejestracja dźwięku-miks-mastering. Tu ewidentnie położono sprawę. Drugą gitarę ledwo słychać, bas też mógłby być wyraźniejszy. Gitara prowadząca powinna być bardziej wyeksponowana. Całość brzmi płasko i automatycznie kojarzy się z małym budżetem na nagranie. A szkoda, bo utwory udane, solówki gitarowe po prostu płyną a i hammond ma ładne wejścia. No i śpiew. Można dyskutować, czy to pierwsza wokalistka okołobluesowa w Polsce, czy też druga lub trzecia, ale samo miejsce na podium dyskusji nie podlega. Mocny głos o ładnej barwie, bawiący się melodią i podający ją z feelingiem. Swobodny angielski pozwalający na interpretowanie tekstów i subtelności intonacyjne. Wokalnie - pierwsza liga, bo są i warunki i warsztat i instynkt, bez którego dwa pierwsze na nic by się nie zdały. Teksty mniej mi się podobały, sporadycznie miałem też wrażenie, że niepotrzebnie akcentowane jest jakieś słowo lub wyrażenie, które nie ma kluczowego znaczenia w zdaniu. Ale powtarzam: sporadycznie. Były momenty, gdzie dałbym się nabrać, że angielski jest językiem ojczystym pani JM, a ona sama zagraniczną wokalistką z wysokiej półki na gościnnych występach w Polsce. Podsumowanie: wokal - 9/10, gitara prowadząca i hammond - 7-8/10. Reszta: 5-6/10, ale z lepszym dźwiekiem byłoby pewnie więcej. Pomimo wad bardzo dobra płyta, oczywiście w kategorii spokojno-rozmarzonej, bo ognia nie ma - to leniwy album, ale jego lenistwo ma swój urok i są chwile, kiedy właśnie na to ma się ochotę.
