Ostatnio wspomniałem wydawnictwo płytowe Poljazz istniejące przy Polskim Stowarzyszeniu Płytowym.Warto chyba to wspomnieć ich sztandarowe "dziecko",jakim był 11-płytowy(!) box archiwalnych nagrań pod tytułem The Jazz Legends.To chyba był licencja z Biblioteki Kongresu USA.A poszczególne płyty,to:
1/The South (m.in.oryginalne nagrania worksongów),
2/The Blues ( zarówno nagrania bluesmanów jak Blind Willie Johnson,czy Blind Lemon Jefferson, jak też bluesy w konwencji jazzu lat 20-tych np. Jerry Roll Morton,Tuxedo Jazz Orchestra itp.),
3/New Orleans ( a też co drugi utwór , to blues),
4/Jazz Singers ( a wtym Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith, Sonny Terry, Champion Jack Dupree),
5/Chicago (1)
6/Chicago (2)
7/New York (1922-1934)
8/Big Bands (1924-1934)
9/Piano
10/Boogie Woogie/Jump & Kansas City ( w tym Albert Ammons,Meade Lux Lewis,Jimmy Rushing),
11/Addenda.
Razem kawał wspaniałego jazzowego i bluesowego grania. To był ewenement na polskim,jakże ubogim rynku płytowym.
