NAGRODA dla WAYNA SHORTERA:
Anioł Jazzowy” to nagroda artystyczna Stowarzyszenia Sztuka Teatr fundowana przez Prezydenta Miasta Bielska-Białej. Kapituła Nagrody postanowiła przyznać nagrodę “Anioła Jazzowgo 2008″ dla: Wayne’a Shortera – genialnego kompozytora i artysty, który nigdy nie stał w miejscu; tajemniczego wędrowcy, który wyruszył w ekspedycję badawczą śladami serca, przenosząc muzykę poza barierę dźwięku, w przyszłość.
Wayne Shorter Quartet wystąpił w Bielsku - Białej
we wtorkowy wieczór 19.02
W rozmowie telefonicznej Redaktor Naczelny magazynu JAZZ FORUM
stwierdził, że wczorajszy koncert w Bielsku Białej był wielkim wydarzeniem muzycznym, a sam SHORTER był w rewelacyjnej formie i mimo swoich 74 -ech lat zagrał wraz z Kwartetem muzykę przyszłosci.
To jeden z żyjących jeszcze ( na szczęście!!!) Wielkich Gigantów Współczesnego Jazzu, który wskazuje KIERUNKI ROZWOJU TEGO GATUNKU.
