Też się zgadzam. Warto przypomnieć, że nawet B.B. King czasem mruczy pod nosem, że właściwie jego muzyka to R&B, a nie czysty blues. Problem w tym, że etykietki na szufladkach się poprzesuwały w całej muzyce. I tak bluesem nazywa się dziś R&B i bluesrocka, soulem – hip-hop i disco, bluesrockiem – tradycyjnego hardrocka, hardrockiem – soft metal, metalem – trash, smooth jazzem – instrumentalny pop, a jazzem wszystko od muzyki klezmerskiej po new age, pod warunkiem, żeby nie swingowało. Bo jeśli swinguje, to już nie jest jazz, tylko retro-swing (swing, zdaje się, dla wielu jest „retro” z definicji). A trendy obowiązujące w radiowym poprocku od 20 lat to rzecz jasna muzyka alternatywna, choć nie bardzo wiadomo, wobec czego. Mnożą się też nowe nazwy, z których najbardziej przypadła mi do gustu taka: „Christian gangsta rap”. Zachodzę w głowę, kto może być podmiotem lirycznym w chrześcijańskim gangsta rapie.
