Basista - słaby gitarzysta?

Wiem, tytuł raczej kontrowersyjny, ale kierowany jest do basistów. Co skłoniło Ciebie do gitary basowej? Wielu gitarzystów zostało karnie oddelegowanych na bas, ale w końcu to piękny instrument. Czemu wciąż pokutuje właśnie takie podejście?

Mam kontrabas (niedawno zsunął się po szafe trach i odpadł gryf ) czasem na nim pogrywałem, fajna sprawa

Odnoszę wrażenie, że nie padły tu nazwiska największych basistów (póki co, elektrycznych)…
Moim zdaniem, basenami znanych kapel bluesowych czy rockowych to nie to, co muzycy sesyjni/jazzowi.
Posłuchajcie sobie lepiej (np. na youtube.com):
Tom Kennedy (Dave Weckl Band) – np. Utwór. “Chicken”
Jaco Pastorius!! – nie trzeba przedstawiać
Richard Bona!!
Anthony Jackson
Gary Willis !! (Tribal Tech)
A dla fanów Pilicha – znany „efekciarz”: Victor Wooten, lub Marcus Miller
W Polsce – Żaczek, wspomniany już Ścieran, ale też Kubiszyn albo Filip Sojka.
Ciekawe, że większość z nich gra na instrumentach firmy Fodera, które to maja chyba najpiękniejsze brzmienie..
Mówimy oczywiście o basemanach elektrycznych, bo przeciez kontrabasiści to zupełnie inna baja.
