Wydawnictwo otwiera rockowy numer „The Girl”. Znakomity, mocny, wpadający w ucho riff, łatwy do zanucenia refren i świetne solo – tak w największym skrócie można opisać tą piosenkę. Kolejny utwór („I Can Tell”) nieco wolniejszy i utrzymany w stylistyce której bliżej jest chyba do pop-rocka, piosenka fajnie kołysze i moim zdaniem jest to dobry materiał na przebój. Numerem trzecim została oznaczona tytułowa kompozycja „Trouble” - solidny kawał dobrze zaaranżowanego pop-rocka. „Scarecrow” to ciekawa, osadzona w bluesowej stylistyce propozycja. „Talk to me” - i tu mała niespodzianka dla fanów John'a Mayera – obok Scotta McKeona w utworze śpiewa drugi gitarzysta i wokalista Mayera – David Ryan Harris. Przyjemny dla ucha numer utrzymany w popowo – soulowej konwencji, w ciekawy sposób przeplatany partiami gitary. Po kilku spokojniejszych kawałkach Scott przygotował coś aby zrelaksowanego słuchacza wyrwać z fotela – rockowy (chociaż nie pozbawiony blues – rockowych i funkowych elementów) „Broken Man”. Następny w kolejce jest utwór, który z całej płyty chyba najbardziej przypadł mi do gustu - „All that we were” - spokojna, ciekawie zaaranżowana ballada, zagrana z wyczuciem i bez gitarowych fajerwerków – są tu tylko te dźwięki które były najbardziej potrzebne. Numery 8 i 9 to kolejno „Caputre Me” i „So Much More” - kolejne, interesujące, pop-rockowe kompozycje. „Giving Me The Blues” - bardzo fajnie bujające połączenie bluesa z funky, jeden z ciekawszych momentów krążka. Przedostatni utwór („What I've become”) to rock ze sporą domieszką bluesa.
