Przeczytałem w jeden wieczór. Podobnie moja rodzina po kolei. Lekkie niczym puszek, zgrabne, potoczyste, zabawne, ale pozostawia niedosyt. Książka z jednej strony dla szerokiego odbiorcy, bo o samej muzyce niewiele. Z drugiej strony o samym Wojciechu Mannie też tak naprawdę niewiele się dowiadujemy: sypie anegdotami, ale swoje osobiste sprawy pozostawia ukryte i to nie tylko te najbardziej prywatne, ale w ogóle swoje życie. Książka koncentruje się na jego spotkaniach z zagranicznymi gwiazdami, polskimi osobowościami i różnych funkcjach, jakie w związku z muzyką na przestrzeni lat pełnił. Szczerze ją polecam, ale jednocześnie uprzedzam - można odnieść wrażenie, że Manniak albo jest przy całym swoim humorze człowiekiem dość skrytym, albo, że trochę solidnego materiału zostawił na kolejną książkę. To co jest, jest bardzo dobre, ale jak na kilkadziesiąt lat z muzyką i mediami mogło tego być więcej.

Witam. No właśnie, mnie też trochę szkoda ze książka taka krótka. Rozstrzelony druk, trochę to przypomina sposób pisania pracy dyplomowej, ma wyglądac na duuuużo, ale jakby to troche ścieśnić to stroniczek nie za wiele:). Chyba więcej się spodziewałem choć to co dostałem jest świetne. Pan Wojciech ma wspaniałe poczucie humoru. Co do treści no to wiadomo - trzeba przeczytać. Na pewno po lekturze będzie trochę więcej świadomości o tamtych czasach w kontekście muzyki i rozrywki w ogóle. Książka świetna dla młodzieży. Myślę że autor nie chciał pisać typowej autobiografii tylko przedstawia siebie, swoje zainteresowania muzyczne i pracę w kontekście czasów w których przyszło mu żyć. Dużo fajnych anegdot o muzykach, ludziach "branży", instytucjach, walce z systemem:) Wszystko lekkie i zabawne. I szkoda tylko ze takie krótkie...

Też jestem fanem Manna, więc przeczytałem książkę już na jesieni ubiegłego roku. Spodziewałem się czegoś innego, ale wyszło dobrze. Mój ulubiony fragment to ten kiedy ekipa Steviego Wondera balując w Kosmosie postanowiła sobie urządzić jam session korzystając ze sprzętu przygrywającej tam do kotleta kapeli.
Jak wyszło? Ci co czytali to wiedzą!

tam panowie cukrujecie. Zacząć należy od tego, ze pan mann, który jest znakomitym, acz momentami męczącym redaktorem to człowiek, którego biografia niezbyt może wciągnąć, kiedy obok na półce są ważniejsze i ciekawsze postacie polskiej popkultury. Książek z cyklu moje życie było wiele. Nalepa. Niemen, Skrzek, Ciechowski - twórcy pełnym ryjkiem to materiał do pisania, a nie jeden z wielu dziennikarzy muzycznych czy satyryków. Cieszę się, ze ta kniga to był prezent, bo byłbym bardzo niezadowolony gdybym sam na to pieniądze wydał.
