Program tegorocznego festiwalu
2 listopada, koncertem legendarnej formacji Oregon z Ralphem Townerem, rozpocznie się 8 edycja festiwalu Jazzowa Jesień.
Na kolejny koncert trzeba będzie poczekać do 25 listopada. Tego dnia rozpocznie się główna część festiwalu, składająca się z 6 koncertów, które odbędą się w ciągu 3 dni.
Jedną z najjaśniejszych gwiazd Jazowej Jesieni będzie perkusista Manu Katche, który wystąpi ze swoim Quintetem. W Bielsku-Białej usłyszymy materiał z płyty "Third round", która ukazała się w marcu tego roku. 25 listopada wystąpi także Chris Potter, określany przez pismo Down Beat jako "jeden z najpilniej studiowanych i najczęściej cytowanych saksofonistów na naszej planecie”.
26 listopada wystąpią: włoski trębacz Paolo Fresu oraz Lee Konitz, jeden z najważniejszych saksofonistów altowych w historii jazzu.
W ostatnim dniu festiwalu (26 listopada) afrykańskie odcienie jazzu zaprezentuje
Abdullah Ibrahim ze swoim zespołem Ekaya. Na koniec Tomasz Stańko, który przygotowuje na ten wieczór specjalny projekt.
W tym roku wszystkie koncerty odbędą się w Domu Muzyki Bielskiego Centrum Kultury.
Podobnie jak w poprzednich latach dyrektorem artystycznym festiwalu jest Tomasz Stańko, a opiekę artystyczną sprawuje firma ECM. Festiwal jest organizowany pod patronatem prezydenta miasta Bielsko-Biała Jacka Krywulta.
